Dr. Yun Qian

Dr. Yun Qian is a clinician and researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University affiliated Sixth People’s Hospital, member of Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM), community board member of Materials Horizons (RSC publishing group), and editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology. Dr. Qian specializes in biomaterial functionalization and biomedical application in the nerve tissue engineering. He is a neural specialist and materialist with expertise in neural trauma, neural nanotechnology, neural pharmacology, molecular and cellular neuroscience as well as regenerative neural medicine. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers as the first author or the corresponding author (total impact factors > 200, the highest citation for a single article: 80). He has reviewed over 60 publications (Journal of Extracellular Vesicles, Biomaterials, Acta Biomaterialia, FASEB Journal; Materials Science & Engineering C, and others). Dr. Qian participates in 5 projects of National Natural Science Funds (China) as the primary contributor. He first published research of graphene family in the fabrication of nerve scaffolds for severe peripheral nerve defects. Dr. Qian has delivered speeches in tissue engineering and material conferences home and abroad, and won Best Oral Presentation Award at the Silver Assembly of International Advanced Materials Congress 2019. Dr. Qian visited US and Hong Kong as a visiting scholar during 2017-2018.
